Ierlands favoriete weidebloem — Leucanthemum vulgare
The oxeye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) is one of Ireland's most beloved wildflowers. Its large white-and-gold blooms appear from May to July, creating stunning drifts of colour in meadows and borders.
A hardy perennial that thrives in Irish conditions, the oxeye daisy is one of the easiest wildflowers to establish from seed. It's particularly valuable for pollinators — the open flower structure makes nectar accessible to a wide range of insects.
