Pollinator Meadow Patch
Create a wildflower meadow corner
This is where it starts to get serious. 75g of our premium wildflower seed blend will establish a beautiful meadow patch that becomes the centrepiece of your garden — alive with bees, butterflies, and hoverflies throughout the growing season.
Ideal for anyone who wants to make a visible difference for pollinators. The mix includes early, mid, and late-flowering species to ensure continuous forage from March through September.
Low maintenance once established — simply cut once a year in late August and remove the cuttings.
Species Included
Birdsfoot Trefoil, Red Clover, Oxeye Daisy, Wild Marjoram, Yarrow, Cornflower, Field Scabious, Viper's Bugloss, Common Knapweed, Self-Heal, Meadow Buttercup, Ragged Robin, White Campion, Tufted Vetch, Lady's Bedstraw, Meadow Cranesbill, Greater Knapweed
Sowing Instructions
Prepare soil by removing weeds and raking to a fine tilth. For best results on existing grass, scalp the area with a mower on the lowest setting and rake vigorously to create bare patches. Mix seeds with dry sand (3:1 ratio). Scatter evenly and press firmly. Do not bury. Water if needed during first 4 weeks. Cut once annually in late August, removing all cuttings to reduce soil fertility (this favours wildflowers over grasses).
